Makerking! 2


I want to create a challenging level for the Jumping Game using my level design skills. The players need to continuously jump upwards on some very short platforms and finally reach the finish line. This includes interactions with obstacles, such as using a hair dryer to reach farther locations when entering a water ball, and portals that transport players to another scene. I believe I have cultivated players' ability to think about scene interactions and to find quicker paths. After reading the feedback from my classmates about their experiences, I also became aware of some areas where the design was lacking. For instance, some aspects that required resource collection were not handled in a very thorough manner. If a player makes a mistake, they might have to die and start over to retrieve it. This is something I failed to take into consideration. For instance, regarding the signage guidance, there are certain points that need to be more clearly marked.
